We had a sure sign of an weather change coming this morning. As I looked out into the yard, birds were EVERYWHERE. Upon closer look, they were robins and cedar waxwings, They were after the red berries on our Lantana bushes. I know, I know -- there is ONE story about how the berries are bad for birds but they come here every year and decimate the bushes about the time their other food sources have stopped. I didn't get very good pictures, but a few are cool. With brown leaves, ya gotta look close.
2/5 It's the final leg. Today we begin the journey home and will only go as far as we wish. A night's stop will take place, thus we can just drive and enjoy a bit. As we leave Provo, the landscape starts changing. We are going through Provo Canyon and as we do, we even see the cabin where a family reunion was once held. Here's a quick LINK to that event oh so long ago.
2/2 - Good Morning!!! It's Groundhog Day and I'm sorry to tell you that we will have six more weeks of winter. It does look a bit cold up on the nearby mountain, doesn't it?
It is the last day of January and we have been crazy fortunate for a winter trip north. The weather has been wonderful. Today, we leave Montana and are heading south to Provo, UT. The hope is to get there before the grands go to bed, so we're off and plan on making very few stops. As we go down the lake shore ---- some last pics to hold us until the next visit.
January 24th, 2021 - Another transfer is taking place today, but it is a bit longer than across town. We have a 6-6 1/2 hour drive across Montana to my mom's home. A 10:30 departure has us on the highway and wondering how much snow we will run into along the way. The mountains in the distance appear to have a bit on top.
The move has been made. It was a long trip (6.1 miles and 13 minutes) between houses, but we did it and have unpacked once again for a few days. Visiting and dinner happen first and then it's time for some games. We only have a few days here so are going to pack in the fun. Not Parent Approved is the choice.
