With our ports behind us, we've hit the final sea days and are on our way back to Baltimore. As I walk past the map in the atrium, I thought I'd snap a picture to share. This shows how totally crazy our trip has been and how we didn't even come close to Greenland. You can see the backtrack towards Boston and all ---- We hadn't even reached Halifax when the decision to forgo our main destination took place. The top --- which doesn't show well has us going up and down the Gulf of Lawrence numerous times. St. Anthony and Corner Brook are further north.

The Grand Adventure - Days 3, 4, and 5
3rd - We have four more sea days before a port and so it's time to just settle in. We did have another medical emergency late last night - the ship had to go back several hours towards Boston to meet a Coast Guard helicopter. I was beat and slept through it all. However, with a late start and two stops for medical, one that included a HUGE backtrack, we are not making much progress. However, it's a new day. Enjoy.

Road Trip Time - Colorado to Billings 1st Half
It's a gorgeous day in Ridgway, CO. A peek around us as we hit the road. It's going to be a beautiful drive and I'm looking forward to all the eye candy. Our destination today is Billings, MT and my son's house. Time to drive.

Road Trip Time - Gunnison, Telluride, and Raef's Graduation
Our Spring/Summer road trip is underway. Leaving Dallas around 4 p.m. (yep, right in time for traffic - so express lanes are our friend) on the last day of May means we likely won't see our home the entire month of June. Crazy, right? The car is truly loaded down with deliveries to be made along the way. The plan is stops in Telluride, CO, Billings, MT, Bigfork, MT, and Provo, UT before making our way home again.

Montana Winter Trip 2023 - Week Three
Week three begins on Saturday with breakfast out. Mom suggested a new spot in Bigfork called The Stage Stop and it was very good. Loved our food and hope this little place does well in the future.

Montana Winter Trip 2023 - Week One
And away we go. We are off to Montana for three weeks with Mom and I have the heaviest suitcase imaginable for a carry-on. The idea of taking clothes up there and leaving them so that I wouldn't have to have a suitcase fell apart. I have a quilt for our bed and multiple projects to work on along with gifts for a niece and nephew. It's a crazy early morning departure once again. By 4:15, we've left the house for the airport run. The car had to be dropped in long-term and then security lines before we finally board the flight at 7. WOW. One good thing - the sunrise as we're leaving the metroplex.

Visiting Mom in Montana - Part 2
Welcome to June in Montana. Yep, I'm still here and still clicking things off lists. Today is a definite go, go, gophers type. I am making banana bread today as there are some bananas beyond the point of eating. Turns out there are not quite enough for the bread, though, so I find some that my sweetheart put in the freezer last time he was here. While they thaw, I might as well clean a drawer and cupboard out. Doesn't that make sense? One of the items I find in mom's spice cupboard is a can of parsley flakes --- an old McCormick one. It has to be at least 45 years old and date back to when we had the Woods Bay Market because it has a stamped price on the bottom. BEFORE stickers and lightyears before UPC codes. It says 19¢. Hahaha. By the time the two spaces are clean, I get the bread mixed and into the oven. Now to go out back and spray paint mom's tables. Yep, I'm a jack of all trades today. I'm in and out several times between coats and manage to take Bailey for a walk before the bread is done. The house smells heavenly and, well, gotta admit this looks pretty good as well.
