Dallas Blooms Week Four and More

It is Week Four of Dallas Blooms - I absolutely love going each week to see the changes and enjoy Mother Nature doing her thing.  Off to the Flower Zoo (Mister's name for the Dallas Arboretum), we go. Outside the entrance, the tulips are almost finished.

Just inside - in the courtyard, beauties still are blooming away.

The Great Lawn -

BEAUTIFUL trees.

Tulips along the Great Lawn.

New plantings - Ageratum is one I've planted many times.

LOVING the tulips still.

These are just glowing in the sunlight.

Where the tulips have finished - more new plantings.  Petunias.

The wisteria is getting close.

Interesting buds on this.

Cherry trees starting to bloom - dark blossoms.

A hidden tulip bed.

Roses have leaves - making progress.

Lovely planting - the little violas look like they have faces.

Red Maple Rill - still not red.

Wisteria on it's way and fountains looking wonderful.

Looking toward the grotto - through the waterfall.

There are baby koi growing - gotta look super close.

The beginnings of azaleas.

Lovely white garden - officially called Magnolia Glen.

Hey there Mr. Robin.

Such beauty.

Someone else things so, too.

Mister's viewpoint -

A lone wolf.

Pictures from the test garden.

Mister's eye -

Crepe Myrtles -

Quince is amazing this year.

Camellia's trying again.

In love with these.

Pretty much the last week for daffodils.

Naturally, at least a couple of water pics.

I think these may be my new favorite tulip.

Although I love the fringed ones, too.

Test garden number two.

Lovely.

Cherry trees are getting started.

My love up close with the cherry blossoms -

Looking out at the lake -

Mexican Sycamore - So cool and unusual.  White, white.

The main plaza has set up a fair while we were walking.

Next stop is at White Rock Lake to walk around a bit.  Check out this crazy tree near the water.  It's alive and starting to leaf out.

Nearby, we can hear the Monk Parakeets and wander off to see what they are up to.  It appears that nesting is the main event right now.  Way, way up in the towers.

I took a ton of pictures, hoping for a fun one, and managed to snag only a few.

THIS is a fun one - you can see the nesting material goes all the way back.

On our walk back to the car, the parakeets followed and landed in a nearby tree.  They are hard to see, but about 20 or so are up there.

Following that, they started resting on the wires.  Time for us to go.

Next stop is Vector, for lunch, followed by Costco for a new printer.  Ours bit the dust and I need it for shipping right now.  Great expense to match the income right now.  Love it.

That's it for today.  Back home for Mister to set up the printer.  See ya around.
