We've Hit Week Six of Dallas Blooms - AZALEAS

It's Week Six and we are off for our morning walk and soul brightener.  The tulips outside the Arboretum have finished and new plantings have taken their place.

The center plaza is now draped in red.

AND  . . . . drumroll please - AZALEAS!!!!  I am soooo happy today.  I will be gone the next two weekends and was afraid I'd miss the glory of these.  There are a LOT of pictures, so comments will be few.

More new planted beds along the walkway to the center lawn.

Oh goodness - it is a sea of color.

If you look hard enough - there are still tulips behind the azaleas.  Love the dogwood blooms, too.

Ethereal once again.

The end of the tulips - so much color all around.

Inside the garden - best place to be.

So, if you can't tell - I LOVE the azaleas.  I didn't grow up with them and as a transplant in Texas, I have truly embraced these gorgeous plants.

Statues, cherry blossoms, azaleas, and Japanese maples - such beauty.

Enjoy the last of the tulips - I am.

Oh yes!!!  Beautiful wisteria as well today.

AND the icing on the cake - the Japanese Maples are simply divine this morning.  I could not be a happier girl.

On our way to the Red Maple Rill - we spot a few roses thinking about joining the party.  I'll miss their burst, but will still see them in a few weeks.

Back to the maples - we are almost there.

Seriously - so beautiful.

The open area near the grotto.

Loving spring - blooms and new growth in so many different colors and ways.

Beautiful Dahlia.

Magnolia Glade is soooooo lovely right now.

This Chinese Snowball is super fun.

White azaleas - on the way and fully enjoying the light.

More signs of life in the Rose Garden - the other roses were in a different area.

Just wandering around.

A few camellias still.

Cherry blossom remnants -

These lavender plantings are so pretty.

Final looks at the azaleas before we have to leave.

More Dogwood.

It seems we always end with seeing a quinceanera moment.  Today, the color is lavender.

Holly doing it's thing and another beautiful dahlia.  Well - that's it for this week's flower report.  I'm sad I'll miss the next couple of weeks, but maybe Mister will go and take pictures to show me.  It could happen.
