Visitors in the Herbs

17th - I m so excited!!!  I walked out to check the herbs today and discovered that FOUR caterpillars have claimed the fennel as their home.  The last time this happened, here is the POST about it.  We only had one before -- four is crazy.

18th -  Mister got his camera out today to photograph our visitors.  He has some help from Josh and here is what they come up with:

Also, our butterfly bush is doing wonderful.

19th -  Something sad has happened.  We can only find two of the caterpillars today.  I have searched everywhere but they have just vanished.  This one looks like it is ready for the next step.

20th -  As I go out this morning, there is only one caterpillar left and it is in it's chrysalis.   I was so hoping for all four, but am thankful for the one we have.

21st - Alas -- we had a HUGE rainstorm last night and now the chrysalis is gone too.  What the heck?  So much for our fun.  End of post.
