Happy Thanksgiving - Abliene with Jen and Josh Bday

Once Mister finished work for the day, we hit the road to Abilene.  A little over three hours later, we have arrived and dinner is served.  We are starving and homemade chili hits the spot perfectly.

Jen has started her Christmas decorating and I catch Mister being all "Christmasy."  Is that a word?

The boys are home from college and music is coming from the piano.

Even Grace is pretty chill.  We have a nice evening just visiting  - all of us, including the four boys.  I LOVE it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!  I wake early and get the chance to just sit and chat with Jen for a bit.  These talks are always so good for me as I learn more about her career and the thought processes behind each thing she has to face.  I may not always agree, but she presents it well and I'm able to gain perspective.  However, all good things have their place and now it's time to get to work in the kitchen.  First up are rolls  and then perhaps some clothes.

Once dressed, pie crusts are being made and I'm the roller -

That requires a step stool so this shorty can get enough upper body strength to do a good job.

While we work, Mister takes his day off seriously.  Puzzles and a companion.  Perfect.

He also takes time with the boys.

Josh's birthday is next week and he had a request for his gift.  We're here now - so he's getting that request fulfilled early.

Happy Birthday Josh!

Now to get ready for dinner --- the table is almost ready.

Rolls are beautiful -

What a spread - it all looks divine!  We have a wonderful time.  The food is awesome and time spent visiting after is memories I will hold for quite some time.

At that point - we have to hit the road home again as Mister has to work tomorrow.  Arriving home around 10 - Dallas has a beautiful welcome.  I truly am thankful for family tonight and loved my entire time in Abilene.
