Zoo Lights 2022

A few years have passed since we visited the Dallas Zoo during Zoo Lights.  The whole "drive-thru" thing wasn't my cup of tea, BUT, this year it's back to walking and we are off to enjoy the lights.  Come along for some fun eye candy.  Not many live animals (although we did see a few) but some great exhibits to get one in the Christmas mood.   Having a turtle start things out is just perfect, right?  We are still in the parking lot and just a few steps away is this tiger.  Love this already.

The entrance is well lit and has music playing to help with the mood.

Just inside the gates, the place is magical!

Giraffes -

Lemurs -

How about a moment to look up.  The sky is kind of eerie tonight.

Now, back to the lights.  Crossing the bridge to Zoo North.

Cheetah -

In the Children's area --- costumes abound, but I only caught one on camera.

Overlooking the Flamingo Pond -

Yep, they are there.  Both real, and . . .

not so real.

Heading down Primate Place --- the lights are intense.

OMG --- this sloth is wonderful!!!

As is the snake -

Psst - if you look really close you can see the Clouded Leopard having a walkabout.

More fun -

Not the same place as above.

A huge Christmas tree with the moon watching over it.

Such a cute entrance to Santa - not sure which line to get into.

One of the elves workshops has a sewing machine.  Awesome.

Hello Santa.

Oh yeah - the Bumble is here too.

Tortoise -

Around the picnic tables -

Passing through the rainbow tunnel to go underground towards the Savanna.

Right before the tunnel.

On the other side -

Mister teased me because I left off the word above.  Here ya go.

And that's the end of the inside stuff.  We stop a couple of times for selfies together.

Take a few last looks at the trees and entrance.

And head out.  In the parking lot is one last animal and a glimpse of autumn under the lights.  It's been a perfect night together.  Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
