July Red Hatters

Welcome to JULY!!  We are starting the second half of our year and I can't believe how quickly it is passing by.  When an event takes place once a month, it truly shows how quick the months come and go.  I've been with grands for almost two months solid and ready for some interaction with friends.  It's time.

This week Spring Creek BBQ is the gathering locale and I'm off - leaving Mister alone for a bit.  We have a lot to do today, but this is taking priority for me.  After two years in the chapter, I am starting to feel like one of "them."  All things take time and it's truly worth the wait.  Are we ready to laugh and share for a bit?

Pamela is our Queen for the Day this month and has a luau theme going on in her decor.  I LOVE it and feel lighter just looking around.

As everyone gathers --- all the smiles and sharing start in right away.

I do so love Texas BBQ and when told to get in line --- well, I think I'm second.  What is everyone waiting for?

Oh yum -  Their lunch special is huge and a great price too.  Mister and I will return.

Scenes from the room

Membership cards have been turned in and (drumroll please) .. . . . . .   Estella takes the prize.

Queen Cynthia -- looking lovely as always and our Queen for the Day, Pamela

Sohair has returned from her travels with Egyptian scarves for all.  AND - a lesson in how to use them, which was needed as they were being tied on in all manner except the correct one.

We have four birthday gals this month.  Woot woot.  I am still sad to have missed mine in May.  I'll get over it some day.  (le sigh)  For those who are peeking in on this post --- YES, a purple hat for your birthday month.

Happy, Happy Birthday to Sohair, Sophie, Sharon, and Katheleen.

Oooooh, yummy cupcakes to celebrate with.

Two of our ladies are celebrating their 80th birthday this month and that means special gifts.  A braided crown and memory photo book are presented to each by Queen Cynthia.

I didn't get a good picture of Sophie with her book as I was helping Cynthia, but did manage to get a nice one of Katheleen.  Love it so much.

Group picture time ---- It's been fun and a wonderful turnout.  (Post is not finished)

A few more pics to remember the day by.

From my cupcake.

And that's a wrap.  Until August, enjoy life ladies.
