My favorite month of the year has arrived and we might as well start it out right. Autumn at the Arboretum is in full swing and I'm ready to soak it all in. Also, wouldn't hurt either one of us to get some steps in for a change. This has been a pretty sedentary house since we returned from vacation. Granted, we were sick, but . . . I digress. Onto the pumpkins. Enjoy the eye candy in this post and let it brighten your day like it does mine. There is just something beautiful about these colors.

We are in early and that gives me a chance for some nice pictures. It's a beautiful morning - slightly cooler and soooo nice to just get some fresh air. Pumpkin lined walkways AND shadows in the moonlight - hahahaha.
The Pumpkin Village is always a stop and this year, the patch is full and ready for shoppers.
See the kite flying in the tree ---- that is a clue to the theme for this year. Can you guess?

As we are walking - I notice a leaf suspended above us. Then, Mister spots the spider that created it all. We watched him/her journey on their way and sat down for a bit until the sun was just right.
Some of my favorite pumpkins are these warty ones that are behind our bench.

More houses ---- love these so much. Crazy cool stuff --- look at the long green gourd part.
Time to move on from the pumpkins and just walk and enjoy the gardens in this gorgeous light.
