After a good night's sleep, I am back at Cassie's while Mister works. Breakfast is once again underway and then the plans for the day can begin. After discovering that a local bounce house pop-up is on it's last day here, our decision is made. Unfortunately, we are not able to get in until around noon and the day is cooker. In the meantime, we're off to get everyone ready to go. When we arrive - excite reigns and everyone is off to play.
I keep Torsten for a bit after we locate the slides and have a little fun. Cassie then goes looking for the others and they actually find me before she finds them - after running the entire house and, well, it takes up most of the store parking lot. This thing is huge with many rooms.
Let the sliding begin.
More -
Still more -
Almost done -
Done.
Torsten has decided that it is HOT.
He won't stay with me and he won't walk, so Cassie is trying to carry him and play at the same time.
Finally, I find a little alcove in the shade and get them all to chill out for a few minutes.
She's so sneaky and keeps getting away.
We're off for the big final run.
This is the last hurrah and after going through it and down the slide, I'm done. I'll handle table duty from here on out. Whew.
f
Table mates come and go --- it's dang hot and we are out of water - not a good place to be.
We make it through the session and at home --- popsicles all around is the reward - two for each.
At this point, there are a couple of Girl Scout projects that need some attention. First, Ophelia is collecting fabric for Teddy Bears for sick kids. I show Cassie the cool ones I've seen made from shirts and she has a stack of shirts to de-bone, so we set in. An hour later, O has all the fabric she needs. Perfect. Additionally, there are two vests that need insignia and badges sewn on so I take them off with me after checking for perfect placement. I'll mail them back when done.
After returning from collecting Grandpa, the kids have a show for us and we are the judges.
These are the official judges chairs.
Ava is first up and then we got so caught up in watching that I didn't get anymore pictures. Ugh.
However, I did get a video.
Time for awards -
Everyone wins. Grandpa has brought flying toys.
Best to take these outside --- also there are lots of other things to do.
Grandpa and Mairead attain flight.
At this point, I left to pick up some pizza for dinner and when I returned, they were all drenched.
Time to eat -
Gotta love little boys and ingenuity.
Ahhhh -
Game time and the first two winners are JP and Grandpa
Game two goes to Mairead and me.
The evening is closing down - so sad, I know, but pictures are fun.
Mairead does not want us to go and at one point she goes and locks the front door, cos then we can't get out. So much love in that. It's been such a fun couple of day and we're sad to leave, but the road must be tackled tomorrow and another bit of our journey home. This was a fabulous way to end June. My heart is just so full.
