Road Trip Time Day 19 - Provo Day 1

An early morning grocery run for Mister happens and then Cassie calls to say they are all awake.  Mister has to stay in the AirBNB and work until this afternoon, but I'm off to play.  Hello grands!

Grabbing individuals for pictures is a task I take to heart and I get a couple right off the bat.  JP

and Mairead

While Cassie gathers items for our day's adventure, kids gather and play around me.

Mairead wants to get my hair tamed - she doesn't realize what an impossible task that it.

A Girl Scout event left Ophelia and Ava with magical wands and spellbooks.  How fun.

We are ready to go and loading into the car.  What is our destination?

What a bunch of fun ---- love it.

Ahhhh - the destination.  Dinosaur Island is an exhibit at Thanksgiving Point's Ashton Gardens.  I am so ready for a walk and some beauty.

The older girls have their own cameras and are learning about picture taking, a.k.a photography.

Beauty as well.

The exhibit has done a great job - even the broken gates exist.

Come on, Torsten.

Mairead wants her picture taken.

This little guy ---- how fun.

Hollyhocks ---- ahh, haven't seen them since I moved to Texas.

All together now - kinda.

Beautiful gardens.

Look close.

Better?

So super cute.

Doesn't really want to catch up - he's found a pole and it clangs.

Drink time while I try and get Torsten to move forward.

This tree is cool.  It is the Camperdown Elm, a weeping tree with unique umbrella shape.  There is a noticeable graft where the Camperdown Elm is grafted to an American Elm.

Fish food was bought upon arrival and they get a chance to use some now.

They start drawing a crowd.

I just love watching them.

So many pretty lotus flowers.

The rose garden is right behind me.

Oooooh, what's ahead.  Let's move quietly.

This baby gosling is pretty brave and wants the fish food.

Just a bit further on is a platform to feed the fish from --- now the bags really get some use and I supplement with more from the machine.

Everyone smile please!!!  Or at least look this way, lol.

Next stop is with baby dinosaurs - that are sooooo lifelike, even I wanted to touch.

Hey - proof that I'm being good and wearing a hat today.

It's getting mighty warm out --- making a push towards lunch.

Ya take what ya can get.

Into the tunnel, another clanger, and out the other side.

This picture was about 15 seconds before Ava accidentally went swimming.

Hill rolling to play and dry off.

Lunch, at last.  That's one huge corndog.

As we are walking through a covered area, I notice some movement.  Look close.

And with that --- it's time to go home and cool off.  We are very warm and very tired.  It's also time for me to go and get Grandpa so that he can come and play as well.  Lots of excitement when he arrives.

Game time.

Ooooh, I snag another pic - Ava this time.

Followed by Torsten - of his own accord, actually.

JP LOVES Grandpa.

Some fun with Cassie -

We suggest dinner out and it's burgers and ice cream with fresh shakes.  Yum.

Love reigns supreme - and messes as well.

I did it!  All five - this time Ophelia.  And . . . that's the end of the day for us.  Grandpa has to work again tomorrow morning at 6, so bedtime for us.  We'll be back tomorrow.  Until then - stay sweet you darling grands.
