At breakfast, I notice this poster on the wall and cannot help but smile every single time I see it. I want to go to her restaurant, don't you? Ophelia Everything Pancakes. What a great name for a place. The only bad side is that I bet there would be so many options that I'd never be able to make up my mind.
A little bit of t.v. time. It doesn't happen often here, but today is the perfect reason for having it.
While they are enjoying their show, I try and get a little bit of my redwork done. It's been languishing too long and is my travel project for this trip. (Look at all the cute quilts I've made around the room - BEING USED!!!
Trying to move out of the video realm -- games and toys to play with Mommy.
Some selfie fun with A.
JP still doesn't want to hang out long enough for a picture together, but he is flirting more and more with me.
After O returns from school, she reads to me. OMG -- she is soooo good for a Kinder. I am beyond impressed.
While her siblings nap, she wants to create a "heart attack" door for A since she doesn't feel well. Isn't that just the sweetest sister? All her idea and I was happy to play along. Cassie even printed some cards for us to color. O decorates the door all by herself and it's dang cute. When A wakes, she sees it right away and runs to hug O -- such a beautiful example of sisterly love. (Oh they battle too, but this was a high point.)
A few minutes with this little treasure -- I grab each one that I can. And before we know it -- the day is over and all is quiet in the house once more. (Keep reading, this is a two-day post.)
30th - Fevers are gone -- slight runny noses but that's life with toddlers. We are dressed and moving and shaking this morning. A quick peek at O and A's room -- my heart is so happy. (It would be happier if I had tucked the sheet in better before taking the picture - hahahaha)
We are finishing up and heading to story time at the library and running a few errands.
Loading up and getting out of the house always take so much time. I don't help matters by once again forgetting my phone. What is up with me? It's not the phone I care so much about -- I use it as my camera and that just can't be left behind.
The library is a great place. In fact, I have a library card in Dallas now too. Pretty cool. The kids gather round a circle and wait for the presentation to begin. Bells start ringing and behind me is another room that some of the children go into (including A) for story time without parents in the area. They can watch via a camera outside the room. I love how they have decorated this section and a lady comes out and says the magic "Abra Kadabra" words and the secret passage opens -- letting all the littles in for some singing and reading along with a better understanding of the letter "Q" -- which is this weeks theme.
Meanwhile, out in the circle -- another presentation takes place geared to younger kids and includes singing, reading, and a puppet show. How fun is this?
From this point on, we run some errands and deal with kids that really don't feel all that well. I went through the quiet books with O and discovered some pages that need repairs and have hauled them down to my room to work on them. I'll have them back to near perfect before I leave.
That's about it --- bath time tonight and I have a chance to just hold M while the others get clean. Love, love, love as I am pretty sure my chances to hold babies is coming to a close. I'm going to love it as long as I can. Now, time for bed.
