Happy Red Hat Easter!!! We are gathering on a crazy rainy day in Plano, TX. Serious water is falling from the sky and just getting in and out of cars is a challenge. Does it matter? Well, not to me. It's Red Hat time and I don't want to miss out unless I have to.
Spycee (Jean) is our Queen for the day this month and upon my arrival, I discover she and Estella have been eagerly waiting for the gang to gather.
Spycee has decorated the table with sock monkeys, one of who dances and it's dang cute but I ruined the video. You would have laughed like crazy. He dances and sings, "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." Perfect. All my sock monkey lovers would be going crazy. Obviously, it's the bunny that dances, not the duck. Okay, okay, technically he just walks across the table while the music plays.

Dallas Blooms Week 6 - Dreary Sky Continues
My plans for this afternoon changed, leaving Mister and I the chance for an afternoon stroll around the Arboretum. It is week 6 for us at Dallas Blooms and the place is just bursting with color all around. My eyes cannot take it all in and I don't know where to point the camera next. The azaleas, oh the azaleas. What beauty.

Closing Out the Month - in Weatherford
March is leaving. What??? We have had crappy weekends the entire time. I want a nice day although it appears I'm out of luck. Might as well go with it again. Today we are off to Weatherford for Trade Days and a chance to walk around outside. Even though it's cold and a little dreary, freezing our butts off beats sitting on them staring at computer screens all day.
Dallas Blooms - 5th Visit and Still Overcast
The sun is just in hiding on the weekends this year. What can I say? We woke up to rain but decided to brave it and head for the flowers anyway. Are you ready for this weeks beauty? The daffodils and cherry blossoms are done, the tulips and camellias on their way out, but azaleas, wisteria and Japanese maples are divine today. Here ya go - with minimal commentary.
The aroma hits me instantly, driving my face skyward to see where it is coming from. I LOVE wisteria.

Dallas Blooms - Fourth Sunday
Four weeks in a row and we are back to the overcast skies. It doesn't deter us from enjoying the beauty and I cannot tell you how absolutely stunning the cherry blossoms are. Seriously. I am in awe this year. Come along with us on our virtual tour of the gardens this week.

4 Rotations - On Rotation Anniversary
Saturday and we are meeting up with Mom for lunch. Upon our arrival she is heading down to the lunchroom for soup and says she doesn't really feel up to going out. Mister and I head up to her room to get her meds set up for the week and wait for her. A few minutes later, the aide comes and says that Mom wants to see me in the dining hall. Down I go. She has not ordered, they don't have the soup she wants, and she is unhappy. I ask her how important it is where she eats the soup. Let's get out of here and go get some yummy Pho. Finally, she agrees and off we go. Yep, it's raining out but we are making an adventure out of it and she is giggling like she has never played in the rain before. I LOVE it. We all order the smallest bowls we can and look how big they are. I think the bowl is bigger than her. Hope she's hungry.

Sunset on White Rock Lake
Getting out of the house for a bit this evening and we are hoping to get a chance to watch the sunset from White Rock Lake. It's pretty cloudy so not very likely, but a walking we will go -- because it's good for us. Right? Want to walk along? (I'm also trying out my new phone camera -- fingers crossed.)
