We are at Moms and blessed with a visit from our Niece/Nephew and grands. Yep, any form of grand works for us. We love time with them all. Here they come and I can't believe how much Avrielle has grown.
Uncle having fun and Great-Gammy sharing some chocolate - all fun until someone gets bit. Yep, it happened.
And the look says it all while she holds her finger.
Some work is getting done in the backyard, so we pitch in to help haul the branches and sticks up to the burn pile.
Shes pretty slow on the uphill, but makes up for it going down.
Others go faster -
The calm after the storm ---- yep, house is down to us three again.
Mister took an evening walk to the lake ---- lovely.
6/10 - Mom and I spent the day visiting while Mister worked. For the evening we went to Monday Market in downtown Bigfork and met up with Jill and Greyson. There was a booth there with wild birds that were ambassadors for a recovery project.
Time to settle in and listen to the music and have a treat.
And . . . perhaps a dance or two.
6/11 - More time with Mom and an evening walk to the lake. One of the neighbors has the most beautiful iris blooms.
Ahhhh, my soul. I never tire of this view.
6/12 - It was a quiet day, pretty much spent sewing. Those are nice days too.
6/13 - I finished binding a quilt today -- going to give it to my sister.
Mom's pretty peonies.
In the evening we took Mom and went into Kalispell and met Brock and Jill for a night of Indian Food. YUM.
Not the best pic, but it is what it is.
6/14 - Good Morning Mister! Whatcha doing?
Our evening adventure included time at the Raven and enjoying the lake. The drink is a Paradise Paloma - pink peppercorn gin, grapefruit, and lemon.
My husband is sooooo happy here and I know we will wind up moving back up. I'm starting to see the love he has for the place and it's overruling my issues.
This one is Cucumber Mint Smash - cucumber gin, mint, lemon, soda. Walleye fish and chips for dinner.
6/15 - Spent some time sewing and now we are off to a family picnic. We are down at Harry Hines and have a great covered shelter. It's NOT a beautiful day out and, in fact, it's pretty cold out. This should prove interesting.
We get there a little early to meet up with Sis and Jill - kids are having fun.
Dad Brock takes them under his wing.
Cousins having fun - Zach is here with his 3 also.
That means we are all here and the gathering is under way.
There is a play area near by so we take the little for some fun.
Avrielle discovers the slide and she is in HEAVEN. She is quick to make the return climb and the minute she gets to the top, she sits down and scoots her bottom all the way to the top of the slide.
It's dinner time so back to the shelter.
We've done all we can to keep Mom warm. she has quilts/blankets and a heater under her chair. I think I caught her in a yawn.
AND - then it starts hailing. Of Course. At least we are covered.
Just ignore it and keep eating.
Weather changes --- argh - now it is pouring and Zach caught in it.
Just the gang --- caught forever on camera.
Uncle and Wyatt.
Gotta love Uncle.
Wyatt and Sis (his Grandma)
Me and the greats - Scarlet, Wyatt, and Colton.
Zach and I --- love this guy.
Good-byes are always so hard.
Once everyone leaves, Mister and I take off on a walk to the lake from here. I've done it before - can be done. The wild lupine along the trail are gorgeous. Picture does NOT do it justice.
Seems to be a never ending trail.
We make it to the lake and the weather takes an abrupt change. We are going to get rained on - no way around it. This is looking towards Bigfork Bay - see the bridge in the back? That's the one I always take pictures from as we are driving over it.
We find a very sad and lonely sock monkey, pick him up off the ground and hope that whoever lost him returns or there may be someone very upset tonight. At this point - up the road as fast as we can go to get back to the car. It still takes awhile, but we make it and are not too drenched - at least not from rain, but it was an uphill workout.
