11th - Today is Girls Day!! I've booked us for pedicures and we have 3 generations enjoying the fun. When I arrived back up here, I mentioned to Mom that I needed to get my toes done again and she wholeheartedly agreed. Invitations to my sister and niece just added to the fun. The jokes just keep coming and we're laughing while photos are being taken. GREAT people taking care of us.
Oooooh, that feels so nice.
My final result - it's pretty but I like the pink/black better. Next time I'll know.
Don't we look great. Toes all around.
Now, for some food. We are off to Brannigan's for lunch. It's an Irish Pub and I'm excited. I love all the Gaelic phrases on the beams across the ceiling.
When at an Irish pub, must do Irish. Right? That means a Black and Tan for sure -
And, naturally ---- bangers and something. This time it is a wonderful mac and cheese. My whole meal is just full of comfort -- and happy taste buds make for a happy girl.
Time with my family is just the absolute best. I simply cannot tell you how much I love it. The really cool part --- my niece is coming to Dallas to visit in a few weeks so I'll have time with her again.
Once back home, we just settled in for a calm evening. That went well for awhile and then another QRU call was made. This time, we had things more under control by the time they arrived and no trip to the hospital was required. We're all learning.
12th - After an unsettling evening last night, we all took it easy today and I just stitched.
13th - Saturday means out and about. Mister has wanted to try a new little coffee shop in Bigfork for awhile now. Today is the day. It's rather cute and we get a chance to meet the band that played there last night. No pictures of coffee though -- I'm failing.
Packing and laundry made up the rest of the day. Drat.
For our last evening here, we are going down the lakeshore to Finley Point for dinner and meeting with Sis and Joe.
Doesn't Mister's food just look amazing? Everything was really good and we had a nice time. No family picture this evening, but it's all good. We'll be back in a few months and can do it then.
This restaurant is decorated with bear pictures everywhere AND all of the walls are from old cherry crates. It is WAAAAY cool and those of us who remember those cherry days can really enjoy it. When we get home, good-byes are said and we are off to bed. It's a dark departure and we need some sleep.
14th - Well, here we are. It's zero dark thirty out and we're at the airport. We leave for Salt Lake City at 5:45 and boarding is about to commence (5:00). Such fun. After another not-so-fun time in the SLC crazy airport, we board our final flight and can see Dallas by 1:15 p.m.
Topping it all off ---- dinner of Pho and Mister trying to see whatever is roaming through the backyard tonight. Yep, home life. It was a great trip and I'll be looking for great rates to return in late winter/very early spring. Cross your fingers for me to find something affordable. Until then -- onto the next adventure.
