It's been a couple of weeks since we can get out and walk - this morning the Arboretum is having a turn. We haven't been here since the beginning of July and I am always shocked at how much is changes in such a small amount of time. The plants have REALLY grown. It's still early morning - so some fun pics can happen.
Just look how tall the plants behind the benches are. Wow.
Banana trees - where did they come from?
Mister wanders off while I wait for the area under the crepe myrtles to clear, so I can take a picture.
Then he catches me waiting - kind of patiently.
Ahhh - there it is.
Water features -
Cool web - or something.
There are still a few gorgeous roses about.
Hibiscus and coleus together.
After our walk - Mister has located a market to check out.
I find a booth that interested me a great deal. I'll be placing an online order for this bundle, I think.
The day is moving along - perhaps we should eat something and why not donuts? Jaram's Artisan Donuts is new to us and relatively close by.
There are a ton of regular donuts in this shop, but there are some unique ones as well. Smore's anyone?
Bacon/Maple, fruit delights, and some fun ones for the kiddos.
Also - Cronuts. Apparently a cross between a donut and a croissant. Another customer tells us they are a "must try." There are not many left, so we believe him.
Our little bundle of joy - yep, I went for the peanut butter cup on chocolate. If I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go happy. YES - the cronuts are to die for.
So was my donut.
From here - it's off to Vector's for some actual food - lunch is pizza. Yum.
