Dang - February first is here and I have no idea where January went. I know, it was busy and that makes it go faster, but still . . .
We are on our second week up in Montana, visiting with Mom and many other family members. This week we get started with a dinner hosted by Jill. My sweet Mister is just not feeling well, so he stayed back to sleep.
They were dancing - and I said FREEZE! This is what I got.
The kids wanted to share some dress-up with us.
Then Jill got in on it as well, LOL.
Good-byes have been said and the sky is clear tonight. What a beautiful view of the moon with Saturn and Venus nearby.
2nd - Groundhog and day and he saw his shadow. Is that really a surprise? Sis and Joe came down in the evening for dinner and brought Kismet with them. It's been YEARS since I've played this game.
3rd - I'm spending my days working on a new bedspread for Mom.
Up to Sis' house this afternoon to play with kiddos for a bit.
Letting Greyson take own selfie -
We're playing with magnet tiles and I mentioned seeing how the picture would look through the lens. Right as I went to take the picture, Avrielle put the tile up to her face. Things are always open to interpretation.
Fun times and great memories.
4th - It's a wee bit chilly today -
This is the snow on the ground and we haven't really had much yet, but it's coming.
On my way out to take a picture - icy door window.
That means it is time to get to work - we're done and tired. Super glad we don't have to do this on a daily basis.
5th - It's another gorgeous, cold, snowy day in Montana. So, so pretty, but . . .
cold.
Looking out the back door -
Mushrooms are growing once again.
Remember that daily basis comment. Here we go again.
Cleared and this time it was much heavier. Ugh.
Now to get Mom to the doctor's office. It went well and a quick stop at the store followed.
Ahhhh, this guy greeted us upon our return.
6th - Woke up to more snow. This is what it does.
Which means clearing the drive way AGAIN. Mister is on his own today - well, with the snowblower heping.
Do we need to go somewhere today?
Our tracks and back forth to the neighbor yesterday are almost covered over again.
7th - We are off to Kalispell for a meetup and pedicure day. The toes haven't been done since October and they really NEED some attention.
After our toes are prettied up - a Penney's stop followed by a small lunch at the Hungry Hun. It was surprisingly VERY good.
We no sooner got home and a white out ensued. Goodness, where did that come from?
Mister quickly cleared the driveway again and a family dinner at Riley's followed. It's great to get together and I love our time as a family. Uncle giving out finger puppets to his great-niece.
Best I got, hahahaha.
Brock and Jill came down after dinner with the kids for a bit more time together. Super cute.
Will miss these guys as we leave tomorrow.
Hugs - see you as soon as we can.
8th - It's a fly day for us but, unlike other times, we have a late flight. That means we have all morning to finish up things and get ready. Laundry and bed-changing happens, along with finishing up Mom's new quilted bedspread that I made while here. I love how it looks.
That means good-byes are imminent. Sis and Joe are taking us to the airport and we're stopping for lunch together so we leave around 1. Love ya, Momma - see ya next trip.
Sis - thanks for all you do. I appreciate you more than I can ever say. See ya next time around.
Thought maybe we'd show some scenes from the new airport section in Kalispell. We showed a few pictures at the beginning of
THIS POST FROM OCTOBER so here are some more. Once through security - up we go.
Looking back at security. See the doors to Baggage Claim - those open automatically and talk to you as you pass through. "Don't Stop."
Upper floor - this is where the fireplace and bar area are that I showed in the previous post.
See that chair in the far back left? That's where I'm heading to sit for a bit.
Not sure what he is doing.
My view from the chair. Watching for our plane to arrive.
Closer to boarding time, we wander down to the other end of the terminal and closer to our gate. We pass an outdoor seating area where one can watch the planes while waiting. On a nice day, this would be lovely. Today? Not so much.
We are outta here and as we de-ice - the window gives a creepy, foamy glow.
Hello Dallas. It is almost the next day when we arrive and will be Sunday by the time we get home. Back in Texas safe and sound. Great trip and now searching the calendar for our next opportunity.
