We have tickets to the Member Preview of Artscape at the Arboretum this evening and the weather has given us a small window with which to enjoy it. Come along for some fun and an evening walk. Century plant preparing to bloom.
Water features are always my favorites.
We discovered a new path tonight -- I know, hard to believe, right? I think it's a recent change. At any rate, we are on the back side of the Tasting Place fountains. You can see the pavilion in the background.
Colors are always vivid at this time of day. These were tulip beds only a few weeks ago.
Trying to catch a bee working - and failing.
But - the flower is pretty. It is a Dahlia and that was surprising to me. I think of something entirely different when dahlia is mentioned.
Now this one cracked me up -- It is a Cigar Flower. Very aptly named.
Test garden peek right before we leave. The artscape was nice and we even picked up a spoon rest to take home. The pic is terrible and I'm too lazy to take another one, so you'll just have to believe that we got one.
As we are driving away, I notice the sun through the trees and mention how beautiful it is. Mister takes a road beside the lake and we are able to stop and just enjoy.
We're not the only ones enjoying --- Mama and her littles are out and about as well. Love it. Well, that's it for tonight. See ya in the funny papers.
