The Big Adventure Continues - Days 6 and 7 - Still Wandering the Sea and No Greenland

6th - We are still wandering the sea, slowly.  The girls and I are working on projects on Lido and Mister goes to an Indian lunch in the dining room.

Today's work of art -

The seas are calmer today - compared to last night.

I decide to do a little more exploring and find that the red dome we saw on the first day also houses the steakhouse.  Good to know.

I had read about the Colossus painting above the Atrium bar and wanted to check it out.  Hard to get a good picture.

I then went and checked pictures and none of the ones we had taken were any good.  We'll have to try again on the next formal night.  Early afternoon they announce definitely no Greenland.  That puts a damper on everything and people start losing their minds.  I went to the Customer Services desk to enquire about the way monies would be refunded for ports and saw people just yelling at these crew members, as if they had made the decision.  Ugh.  Finding something to do, we go to the afternoon show, which highlights our maitre'd in the dining room.  Kenny B.  He's pretty good and I love the show - kind of like a Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra show.  I'm old, I get it.

The little bit of sunset that we get to see.  So foggy and cloudy out.  THAT isn't helping anyone's mood.

As a casino perk, Kelly has dinner for us all in The Golden Fleece Steakhouse tonight - so something good.  First , an amuse-bouche.

She orders Iced and Smoke Fresh Oysters to share.

So pretty -

I get the Risotto and Mister has the Beef Carpaccio

I go with the small surf and turf

Mister does the lamb chops.

Shonie orders the Chocolate Sphere dessert.  Beautiful to watch.

It was a nice evening and we took our time.  Although the dinner started early, we didn't feel up to much else after.  Time for rest.

7th - It's another foggy day.  We have no idea where we are going or when we will be there.  It's crazy.  I get that things happen, but the communication here is awful.

Wandering ship vacant ship decks.  Even an open door into another world.

Walking the Enchanted Forest again, we discover old muster lines.  I remember those days of being packed in tight, wearing a life preserver.  Glad those days are gone.

Still wandering.

I went to guest services as I couldn't access my account via the web and wondered why.  Apparently, I need the larger internet package.  She was very helpful, though and did tell me that we are indeed going to Corner Brook on the 8th, Sydney on the 9th and they are looking at Halifax or St. John for an additional port.  I got online and did some quick looking around at Halifax for ideas on what to do.  As part of our compensation for missing Greenland - well, not part, total - we were each given $200 onboard credit.  Mister and I already had $200 so we certainly won't be able to spend $400 more on ship.  I was able to get it refunded in cash and I'm pretty happy about that part.

Another brief moment of sunset before the clouds swallowed it up.

After dinner, I go solo to the show.  The production number is The Brits!  It was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.  It certainly helped to end my day a bit brighter.
