Jon's College Graduation

With 19 grandchildren, I knew the day would come when the college graduations would start.  It's here and I'm leaving retreat for a drive to San Angelo to witness Jon's graduation.  I have about a 3 1/2 hour drive this morning and the ceremony is at 10.  I manage to arrive with about 20 minutes to spare and it was a lovely drive this morning.  I didn't stop to take any pics but will try on the way back this afternoon - yes, I'm driving back as well today.

Meeting up with Jen's family - in we go.  We've chosen seats directly across from the stage and since it's a smaller venue, it works great.

Here come the grads.  The one with the long hair walking up belongs to me - can't you tell?

Filling in the seats.

Time to begin.

After some great talks and "conferring" their degrees, off they go for the actual moment.

Jon is next.

YES!!!  Magna cum Laude and two degrees.  Impressive.

Final statements and they are DONE.

Paying NO attention to us, lol.

Picture time.  Jon and Bekah

The siblings.  They are all growing up so fast and that  means I'm getting older quick, so stop it, will ya?

The family.

Mom and Dad and Gam.  Great times.

A quick trip to the dorm to change clothes and peek at their room, which has to be completely packed up and loaded by 3 today for summer checkout.

Gotta admit --- boring dorm hall.  The boys say it is like this all the time.  Yuck.  Oh, and a peek into Jon's study area - complete with LEGO's.

Lunch was Thai and Bekah left too quick to get us all in a pic together.  Now, it's my turn for good-byes and they are all off to clean the dorm.

I managed one pic of all the yucca in bloom on the way back to the house.  I have to tell you, spring in Texas is always simply gorgeous.  See ya later with two more graduations coming up.  It's a busy world right now.
