Member Morning at the Dallas Zoo

It's been a bit since we were able to attend a Member Morning at the zoo.  I'm thrilled to be out walking a bit and enjoying the springy weather.  Postings on Facebook have shared that there is a new Colobus Monkey in the habitat and we are fortunate to see it scampering about.  It's the little white bit to the left of the adults.

Ooooh, so tiny and cute.

How I wish the chain link didn't feel as though it needs to be front and center in the cameras focus.

A baby day continues --- baby tiger time.  We have arrived just preparations are being made for the little one to enter the habitat.  A quick entry and it's time to play.

Too cute.

Ooooh, it's such a lucky day.  Clouded leopards!!!

Cranes

Spring flora -

AND ----- otters on the move.  What a rarity.

An anteater having a sit down ---- too funny.

We "think" there is a sloth in the box.  But, since we've never seen it, it may just be a practical joke by the zoo.

And tortoise fun to top it all off ---- so much love.

With that, we are heading to the other side of the zoo, but the flamingos draw us in one last time.

Ya GOTTA watch this ---- I laugh each and every time these birds act all powerful.

Onto the other side -- some hippo love is taking place.  Literally and including territorial sparring.

My sweetie leading the way.

Our day continues with even more fortunate moments.  The whole gorilla family is out and about.  First up are the bachelors.

I am always fascinated by their feet.

Onto the family side -

You talkin' to me?

We've made it to the savannah.  Howdy to the giraffes and kudu.

Throw in a few ostriches for good measure.

Well, that's it for us today.  Thank you for sharing the time with the animals.  See ya around.
