Another grandson is hitting the "High School Graduation" milestone. These years just seem to by flying by at an ever-increasing speed. The rational me knows that is not actually happening, but it sure feels like it. At any rate, the after-work, made dash to Abilene is under way and we arrive at the center with only moments before it is time to go in. That gives us time for a few pics. Yep, crazy hair alert going on here.
It's also a chance to see Bekah, a rare sighting indeed.
Siblings United!!
Inside, the place is really starting to fill in and we are quite high. No worries though -- there is always a big screen to help out.
Just us, hanging out. Waiting, waiting, waiting . . .
Oooh, I've spotted him lined up on the other side.
Jen was smarter than me and went over to that side --- hey there -
And so, it begins --
Talks and performances -
And before too long (but just long enough to get fidgety), the diplomas are being handed out. Here comes Jacob.
The moving of the tassle -
And back to his seat, with an attempt by me for a pic while he was in motion -- not the best plan.
Hats in the air --- it's a DONE deal.
While waiting outside for Jacob to reappear - some moments can be choice.
The whole family ---
Oh so serious -
Mom and Dad --- best moments and memories.
With that - it's back to the house with some visiting and then bed. Grandpa and Grace are always best friends.
The next day, Jon treats us to a concert while people are preparing for the afternoon party.
Then, he and Grandpa are sharing some computer time and I cannot understand a thing they are talking about. Geeks unite!!! Ha, ha. I'm not saying that in a mean way at all. The men I'm surrounded with this weekend are indeed computer geeks and that's a compliment.
I think we're ready for the party - the house is decorated nicely and it's fun to watch the changes.
A waffle bar is underway and as friends stop by for visits and food, the house is going for several hours.
Oh, I missed a pic. The very first one. I remember this! Goodness, time . . .
A small gift to help with dorm supplies
And we're done --- Congratulations Jacob!!! We love you so much.
