A quick peek around the house tells me that the Easter Bunny did in fact make an appearance.
They're AWAKE. Time to find baskets and eggs. Baskets first.
One to go -
there it is. Sneaky bunny.
Now for eggs and youngest first for 5 eggs each, then it is every man for himself.
How about a movie while adults dress and prepare for coloring eggs? I happen to have brought a couple and there is a dvd player in my room.
Okay, we are set up and ready to go. Ready, set, color ---
And the finished product. Nice. Pretty dang good for being at the beach.
Amanda wants some time with her boys today so they leave for awhile and we head to the beach with Rhiana, Kasey, and the girls. My beach chair awaits.
It's so fun to watch this family play together. After awhile, Malea takes them on a walk.
Elena plays with Grandpa for quite a long time and I am content to just sit and watch.
After the beach, everyone wants some time in the pool and hot tub. I want my suit dry to pack tonight so am just watching this go round.
Some fun finds along the way: Pelican in the water
A crab trying so hard to hide from us.
Barnacles
Jelly fish
This day is a wrap. One last look back and then to the house for a movie. The Goonies is on and we are stuck with commercials so I take advantage of those moments to get myself all packed. By the time the movie is over, it is definitely bed time for everyone. We say our good-byes tonight as we will be gone before anyone wakes in the morning. This has been such fun and the decision has been made -- I WILL be booking a beach house for everyone to gether in Texas again. Until then ---
It's up, up, and away. Bye Daytona, it's been grand for sure.
