An Around Town Day

For the last day of August, we are out and about.  First up is a walk to the anniversary celebration at White Rock Coffee.  They are 20 years old and Mister has been there since the beginning.  Me?  I've been going there about 17 of those 20 years.

Owners:  Bob and Nancy Baker - truly delightful people.

Celebrations are going on outside as well.

Walking home, the nearby prickly pear cacti are covered with "tunas."  I love the color variety of blooms that come from them.

From coffee to beer - for another celebration.  OHB is having their grand opening today.

The place is packed and that is GREAT for them.  We struggle to get a spot at the bar and get served.  Lots of little glitches in the system being worked out, but it's fun to just watch everything.

Late lunch happens at Birdcall -- new to us eatery.

Next up is a stop at Costco for some shopping and Mister changes his internet provider, giving ATT a chance.  I get prices to switch phones, but need to talk to Cassie before making a final decision as we are adding a couple of phones for her.  The deals look pretty good, though, and our overall price would be lower than we are paying now for 2 phones and internet.  Well, that's enough for one day.  See ya around.
