White Rock Walkin'

Escape from the house for a bit has us walking at White Rock Lake.  As we are driving up to the location we normally park, I spot one of the eagles in a tree.  This is an unusual sighting for us, so we head over to take a couple of pictures, if possible.  No special camera equipment along today - just my phone.

Best I managed to get today.

Off to the water's edge and we notice a grey heron on the opposite bank.  This is a good day.  Sure wishing we had brought the good camera.

More waterfowl coming into view.

Pelicans a little further to the west.

And on shore fairly close to us.

Mallard convention.

A short walk around the bend and I'm treated to this sight.

A decent picture, for sure.

How close am I?  Mister is taking pics too.

On the way back to the car, an egret has landed and is hunting.

Score!!

Hello Mr. Turtle -

Time to head back and a stop at the hardware store nets me this cool cloud shot.  Hope you had a great day, too.
