After the Red Hat luncheon, Mister and I departed for Bridgeport. I had heard of a quilt show going on there and wanted to say hi to a friend who lives in that area. Off we go - Oh, and Mister found a new brewery as well.
The quilt show was small, but nice and I spotted this wall hanging. It's a Laura Heine design and has been on my list for awhile now. Perhaps someday. I wish I had the name of the person who received the blue ribbon, but it wasn't to be seen.
I also saw this Farm Girl quilt and fell in love with it. It makes me want to get mine back out and finished. Ugh. The owner is Amy Jensen, daughter of the friend I spoke about earlier.
It's time to find some lunch so we head downtown. What a nice Main Street.
Lunch is at Five Boys Ranch and it fits the need. Across the street and down a bit is Walking Beam Brewing Co., the one Mister had found. A stop in for a beer is all we're up to and likely won't return -- sad to say. Next stop is another new-to-us brewery Brutal Beerworks in North Richland Hills as they had just posted on Facebook that it was a stout day. Sadly, it wasn't. No stout - what's in my glass is the end of the tap and it was good, but . . . . Again, one and done.
The sun is setting s we make our way back towards Dallas. We left home a little before 11 - long day.
One final stop for something we know kicks butt. Odd Muse never disappoints. I do some playing with my camera again --- I'm trying to learn the tricks.
It's a lovely way to end the day --- time with my sweetheart.
See ya in the Metroplex or on journeys around the planet.
