Swim Meet, Breweries, Packing

Spending time with my daughter and grands today makes perfect sense to me.  I need happiness and joy for a bit.  The first swim meet of the year is in Keller and that's a new area for Mister and I.  We are up and out bright and early to meet Jen and Louis for breakfast first.

With food in our bellies, a walk over to the center and finding seats is next.  It's a chance to visit and catch up as even though we live in the same state, we don't get to see each other very often and I treasure these moments.

I've taken videos of the races, but Mister has all the still shots and he's even further behind than me in going through pictures.  It's been one of those months.  I'll add the pictures as soon as I can.

Jared Team Medley -- I didn't record the other team members and even got a late start with Jared

Jacob Team Medley - Again I didn't record other team members -- Jacob doing breast stroke

Jared Freestyle

I THINK I took this picture to show the scoreboard.  Since no one is in the pool, it makes sense.

At some point, I look down and spot the beach bag that we made years ago while at retreat.  That's just a fun memory for me.

It's noon and that's enough bench time for us.  We have to meet up with Mister's family at 3 and want some lunch and to scope out a couple of breweries while we are here.

First is Shannon Brewing and I LOVE their beer.  Oh wow.  It's a great little brewery with an Irish flavor to it.  The staff is remarkably friendly and talkative.  We simply have a great time.

Take a walk around with me -

Although we hate to go, we are on the hunt for some food.  A stop at another brewery (which will not be named) resulted is us dumping the beer and moving on.  Hop & Sting is next up.  Please let them have some food.  We're not real sure about the placement of the taps and the ability to see the bartender.  It's . . . . interesting.

The beer is good though, but still no food.  Argh.  We are gonna have to do the family thing while hungry.

Several hours of packing take place next and lots of fun going through pictures, etc.  ALL cars are loaded to the max with parts to take home and use or donate.  There is still a lot of stuff in the house, but we'll get it done.  Doug and I will be back tomorrow to pick up this set of shelves for Jen to use.

We finish out the day with Rick and Penny and dinner at the Asian Mint.  Yep, we took pictures, but my sweetie has those too.  This is definitely a -- I'll update post.
