So, I arrived home from a day with friends to discover the beds totally covered, chairs and armoires shoved everywhere, and general chaos. Mister has decided to put together his new desk today and in his mind, that means the whole office had to be unloaded. ????
Where is he? Well - attempting to put together his new Skandia desk. Yep, that's my desk sitting out in the middle of the room. Hmmm.
Well --- I guess I'd best help him if I wish to sleep tonight.
We get it far enough to turn the internet on and clear off the bed.
The next day, Sunday, and after much discussion, we settle on a plan and soon have things somewhat organized. Well, at least we are both set up.
Some cords still need to be dealt with and we are still thinking on my desk, but it is all workable.
We also move one cabinet to the living room & all contents as well.
Now, this doesn't mean that the mess is gone. Oh my heck no. It's now Monday and I am going to attempt to put my room back in order. Goodness. First, I get Mister to help me empty more out of my room so that I can put the armoire back in the far corner. I fill it up with quilts. Yep, easy to do.
That just leaves me with the rest of this disaster to deal with. Carry on girl. After a couple of hours, I think this room is in the done column too. Looks good enough for now anyway. Yep, there is still another shelf to deal with, but that is for another day.
The hall still contains the metal stand that I removed from my room. It goes into the pantry/laundry area to hold the soda/mixers/water that just take up floor space. Good use for it and I'm happy with the results.
That's all I have time for as I am leaving on Wednesday to go to Colorado for 8 days. Tomorrow, the Christmas decorations come down. Ugh.
UPDATE: When I returned from Colorado, Mister had worked on my desk and it is now configured differently and he added a board to the front to bring the desk out more. What a super nice guy he is. He even added a shelf to the bottom for my feet cos the chair has to be up a little higher with this new design. Nice.
Looks great! Lots of hard work required I know. Hugs, Allison in Plano
