Leaving New York City - Travel Home Day

Well, the past five days have been simply magical!  Seriously.  Just us two time was what the doctor ordered and we had a blast.  The only unhappy part is that we have to go home today.  I know, right?  A subway to the bus station and we're spending our last few minutes on the streets of New York.  We're not even in Manhattan anymore since we caught this bus in Queens.  It's a double size bus and they are always fun so I have a seat right at the middle to giggle as we turn.  The simple things in life can bring absolute joy.  Is this guy filming me?

Into the airport and through security.  Piece of cake.  I don't remember seeing this waterfall as we arrived, but Mister said he thinks he only runs every so often and was quiet when we went past.

Quick video - it's cool, yes?

Our last looks at Manhattan --- way off in the distance.

And away we go - we are already planning our return, maybe even in conjunction with a cruise out of Manhattan.  It could happen very easily.

We settle in and watch The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry.  What a great movie.  Catch it if you can.

As the movie ends, I notice the cool clouds out the window.

And then, just like that, parts of the Metroplex come into view.

I think that's Love Field.  We are coming in so different and I am fascinated.

Hello Dallas - I think we're going the wrong way.  Hahahaha.

Well, at the beginning of this adventure, I showed you a book with many, many stickers.  My book now looks like this.  The items we didn't get to are at the top now.

The items we didn't get to are at the top now.

And my little stacks of completed sites are ready for the next adventure.  Where will we go?

The quince are blooming as we arrive home.  It's 75 degrees and after a week of 45 degrees, feels crazy warm.  Life is good --- find the joy.  See ya around.
