With a quick in and out, Jen is soon safely in our car and we are once again driving west. It gives us a nice chance to talk and spend time with my daughter. Much loved time.
I'm starving by the time we arrive in Abilene and food is MY first order of business. The whole family goes to Heff's and have a wonderful, slow, lunch. It's great just to sit and talk. Seriously, I am in heaven spending time with 5 grands, Jen and Louis.
All good things come to an end though and we are back at the house with almost everyone taking a nap. Okaaaaay. Then the flutter of excitement. It's time to get ready and head to the center. We have someone to graduate. Several students are playing in an ensemble as we arrive and it sets a perfect mood.
I get a chance for some rare selfies with my granddaughter.
And, it's time. We are sitting where I can't get a picture of the graduates walking in and I have a certain amount of sadness over that, but life goes on.
Several talks later, it's finally time for the main event. Lining up --- yep, he's next to last in this group.
Yay!!!!! Congrats Jonathan.
And just like that --- it's done. So quick for 12 years of education. Wow. Mama deserves this hug.
Family picture time -
A chance for Gammy and Grandpa
And the whole family ---- well those that are here. Jared and Josh are in Missouri competing in the GLOBAL Destination Imagination finals. Yep, that's why mom was flying in today.
The picture torture is almost over ---- diploma please - camera gone crazy, hahahahaha
That's it --- off for some ice cream and we are blessed to have Jon and Bekah in our car. Wow --- that's never happened before.
Dairy Queen --- we're here. Are you ready?
Gift time. Mister had a bit of fun with the gift and also apparently someone managed to seal the car into the envelope. Completely.
And our work here is done. --- Love ya Grandson. Use the money well.
