Jen's Birthday and Grandson's Swimming

With an early morning rise, the car is plowing through the fog and off to Abilene for the day.  It's a multi-purpose day.  Jon has a swim meet and we also want to celebrate Jen's birthday.

The swim meet is up first and we arrive at exactly the right moment to see Jon being honored as a Senior.  Roses all around.

It's a successful meet with Jon taking 3rd overall in one of his events and Jake doing crazy well in his too.  We are able to visit with Jen, Josh, and Jared during the time between races and that's so nice since it seems as though it's been awhile.

After the meet, we are heading off to dinner, but first I have a gift to give.  Yep, a Featherweight and she is now a full-fledged member of the club.

It's so fun to make someone smile like that.

Dinner out, then off to see Mary Poppins and finally cake before heading home.  Some scenes from dinner and we made it back home around 1 a.m.
