We are up and out of the house for a fingers-crossed moment at the zoo. There are three new baby lion cubs and we "think" they may be out in the habitat this morning. It's cool out and if they are, I want to see them. Upon our entry in, we make a beeline towards the Savanna and straight to the window. WAAAAY up in back, one little cub is laying with mom. I watch for awhile, but not much happens and he finally moves out of sight. DRAT.
I'm kinda bummed, but there are also a couple of young giraffes to take my mind off the situation.
They are just so amazing to me.
Snack break. Hey Mom ---
We've circled back to the lion and guess what ---- they are up close and personal. OH MY. I am in love. Just soak it all up --- I know I did.
Tongues!! Does the window taste good?
Or are you sticking it out at us?
Hey there cutie. Want to play? Ooooh, I am content now. We can move on - well especially since they've once again roamed out of view.
Towards the elephants, beautiful sunlight.
And that's about it for us at the zoo today. We came, we saw, we left. A stop at Lowe's and Home Depot nets us information on a new stove (no, we didn't buy it, the shopping stage with Mister has only just begun) and some grasses for the yard. These, we did buy as they were on clearance.
Back home once again and settling in. The end of gin and tonic season has arrived and this is the last of Mister's homemade tonic. Until next year --- Cheers --- oh, and a quick peek at all the wonderful treasures/cards that Mister gifted me with. He got a new chainsaw, hahahaha.
